“ The nightmare of this case, for Melanie Ross and for all future rape victims in Georgia, is that she was forced to discuss in elaborate detail her sexual past, and then she had her claims dismissed in part because she wasn’t a virgin. Moreover, not only did Ross lose her case, the judge fined her $150,000 for bringing it in the first place - a fee sure to dissuade other victims from coming forward with their own claims. This case is currently being appealed to the Supreme Court of Georgia, which can choose to hear it or not - let’s hope they right this wrong before it hurts more victims.

SEO/PR Position in Connecticut

Hi folks!

I’m trying to help fill a position here at my company in Fairfield County, CT, and I was hoping that I could convince one of you to either take the position or recommend someone for it.  Basically, it is a half-SEO, half-PR position, with opportunities for expansion in either direction.  You’d report directly to a great lady here, and really get a chance to explore two related sides of one coin.  What they are looking for is someone to help manage their outside SEO firm, reading and approving content that’s developed specifically for the organization, as well as create compelling marketing copy of your own that would be distributed via all the various channels for the purposes of reputation management (both proactive and reactive).  They want someone who has a good technical understanding of SEO and great writing skills—someone who can walk the fine line between creating great marketing copy that also functions well as organic search content.
